2. The sign of the end of the world predicted in the Bible …Cosmic Cataclysm

【Mal 4:1-5】 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the LORD Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them …… “See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.”

The prophet Malachi referred to the end of the world as an intense fiery day or as the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And the Prophet Joel said of the sign of the great and dreadful day of the Lord as follows:

【Joel 2:31-32】 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved

Joel said that the sign of the end would be the darkening of the sun and the moon changing into a bloody color. Such a sign of the end can be confirmed again through the words of Jesus.

【Matt. 24:29】 “Immediately after the distress of those days” ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

【Luke 21:25】 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

【Mark 13:24-25】 “But in those days, following that distress,” ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

The signs of the end prophesied in the Bible are summarized by the cosmic cataclysm. Such signs of the end are very convincing, because we believe that the order of cosmos is a result of the creation.

The order of the universe is maintained by the power of the Lord. Before the creation, this world was chaotic, formless, empty, and the darkness was over the surface of the deep. Through the creation of six days, the sun, earth, and moon orbited and rotated, orderly moving as part of the galaxy’s universe, achieving seasons and days and years.

【Gen. 1:14】 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,

What will happen if the power of the creation of the Lord that maintains the order of the universe is reaped? What will happen if the law of gravity breaks and even the slightest change begins in the operation of the sun, moon and stars? There will be no way to avoid a terrible cosmic cataclysm.
