Chapter 12 The Order of Aaron and the Order of Melchizedek
The order of Aaron is the priesthood of sacrificing sheep, cow, or goat(ref. Lev. 1:1-4, Heb. 9:18-25), and the order of Melchizedek is the priesthood of giving a blessing of eternal life through the blood of Jesus. As it is written;
【Gen 14:18-20】 「Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.」And David wrote in the book of Psalms;
【Psa 110:4】 「The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”」
The apostle Paul wrote that the prophecy of the order of Melchizedek was fulfilled by Jesus. If you study the words of Heb. 7:1-12, you will have a full understanding of it. As Melchizedek blessed Abraham without the blood of animal in the different way of the Levitical priesthood, Jesus also blessed us without the blood of animal but through His own blood.
【Luke 22:19-20】 「And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.」
The above ceremony was the last Supper of the Passover, which must be celebrated on 14th day of the 1st month by the sacred calendar.(Luke 22:7-20) In the book of John, the Lord testified that the Passover of the new covenant would bring us eternal life. As it is written;【John 6:53-54】 「Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.」
Therefore the Apostles had celebrated the Passover holy year after year. But in A.D. 325, it was abolished thoroughly in the Nicaea Council, held extending from May to June.
Now we are working to restore the truth of life. We are preaching the gospel of Jesus that we, who are prisoned on earth as like the city of refuge, can be allowed to return to the spiritual homeland, through His death who is the holy High Priest.
Some churches say that they take communion too. But the bread and wine they has taken is not the ritual of the Passover of the new covenant. Because Jesus showed His example of the Passover on the 14th day of the 1st month. (Lev. 23:6, Matt. 27:17, Mark 14:12, Luke 22:7)
Those who eat the bread and wine at anytime are same with Jeroboam who has instituted a feast on the 15th day of the 8th month by his own choosing(1 Kings 12:25-33). When Jesus took the bread, gave thanks and distributed to five thousand people, He called it a food that would spoil.(John 6:20-27).
Many people think that it will be the Communion, once they break bread in the name of Jesus. But it is a tremendous illusion. Only the bread being with the power of the word of Jesus, “This is my body”, is the bread of life. When and where did Jesus tell the disciples such a words. He spoke like that in the last Supper of the Passover at the 14th day of Nisan. Even though Jesus had taken the bread and distributed many times, He never called it His body except the Passover.
Even if a pastor says at his own will, “This is the body of Jesus”, it does not become Jesus’ body. The bread of life which becomes the body of Jesus is given to us on the forteenth day of Nisan. To speak again, what gives us eternal life is not the bread and wine itself, but the word of Jesus. In the garden of Eden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil has no power to make Adam and Eve die, but the word of God, “when you eat of it you will surely die”, has the power.(Gen. 2:16-17) In the case of the Passover new covenant, the principle is same.
The disciples did as Jesus had directed them. And Jesus celebrated the Passover, saying, “Take and eat the bread my body. Drink from it my blood of the new covenant”. We can be saved and live forever, if we just follow the footprint of Jesus.
Therefore if you take Communion on the other day, the bread and wine is a food that spoils. And only the bread and wine of the Passover on the fourteenth day of Nisan is that of eternal life.
